Bible Heroes

Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit," says the Lord of Hosts.
Zechariah 4:6

Bible Heroes is a book that we hope will show your children how they are like the Bible Heroes of Old, champions in the fight for the Kingdom.  Use it as a tool to help them see that they have many things in common with these men and women of faith.  Can they build like Noah?  Follow like the Wisemen?  Sit at His feet like Mary?  These were ordinary people living ordinary lives, until God choose them for a special purpose.  They were ordinary except for one extraordinary trait each possessed.  A trait that even today God looks down from heaven for, searching among His people.  God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God.  Psalm 53:2 God looks to the hearts of people to seek those who seek Him, desire Him.  Men and women of the Bible made many mistakes and had many weaknesses, but God used them in spite of these.   Making mistakes doesn't stop God from using you!  These Bible heroes were not perfect.  In fact the one whom God described as being "a man after His own heart"  1 Samuel 13:14 was a man with many faults.  David made many mistakes, committed many sins.  However, he had what is most important: a heart that desires God over all else.  A heart that is willing and sensitive to His will.  God is looking for repentant hearts: open, pliable, and willing.   With a willing heart, God will use the ordinary to do the extraordinary!  Help your children develop the "Heart of a Champion" and stand side by side with other Bible heroes.
