Colors of the Cross

Welcome to "Colors of the Cross."  With this book, your children will be recording in words and pictures how a color makes them think about Jesus and the cross.  Don't limit your children to the obvious: red -- the blood of Jesus, black -- our sin.  Let them explore and think for themselves what it might mean to them.  Children have a remarkable ability to see things that sometimes we grownups miss.  Jesus said to the Father, "... You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. "    Matthew 11:25

Do you and your children know what "color" is?  It is light shining through a prism.  Without light, the prism remains colorless.  We are like that prism.  Without the light of Jesus shining through us, we are colorless, filled with darkness and despair, just like the color black, which is destitute of light.
